Time: Your Challenge

Time flies by so quickly. It seems that we have so little of it to share.

But, we all have the same amount of time:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 12 months per year.

The difference between one person to another is how they choose to spend their time. Which items have the most value and which items

take priority. It is about prioritizing.

Put the most important things at the top and then if there

is any time left, give time to other things.

I know that our lives can be so demanding: Careers, children, hobbies, personal interests, etc. Sometimes we leave out time with God, family, parents, or children due to our heavy schedule. It depends on whether

they made the top of the list.

I challenge you to create a pie chart!

Allocate what percentage of time you spend with:

Career 65%

household 10%

organizations 1%

childrens’ activities 15%

personal interest 5%

with God 1%

your parents 1%

friends/family 2%

Evaluate your personal pie chart. Is your time equally spread out?

Can you adjust some of your activities to include

more in the smallest sections of your pie.

Harry Chapin said it best with his song:

“Cats in the Cradle”.

When you coming home, dad? I don't know when But we'll get together then You know we'll have a good time then”
